preventive dental care and treatment
We emphasize preventive care in our office.
Professional cleanings and fluoride treatments usually commence at age 2 to 3
years and continue at six month intervals. A floss holder is provided, and you
will be shown how to floss your child's teeth.
Fissure sealants (durable coatings placed on the decay-prone areas of a child's
molars) are very effective in the prevention of tooth decay.
X-rays are taken only when there is a clear need, and the most
up-to-date equipment and techniques are used to minimize exposure. Parents are
welcome stay with the child during the appointment.
hospital treatment
Dr. Adams, under specific circumstances, treats children and handicapped adults
in the hospital. He has privileges at Children's and Porter Hospital.
special needs
Children with significant medical, physical, emotional, and
mental disabilities deserve special attention.
We provide a high comfort level for our many special needs patients and enjoy
caring for them. The office is wheelchair accessible and the staff is trained
to provide uncompromised care to every child.
